Notice the dirty nose in this picture. Shelby is being scolded and told 'naughty' because she was digging in the mud (which she has never done before but we soon found out why).
Poor Shelby doesn't understand what's going on with her body. We decided to wait one more cycle before we breed her but her body is going through a false pregnancy (which is common). She has dubbed this and another toy her "ball-babbies" and when they squeak she thinks they need to be nursed so she (like a good mommy) tucks them up under her tummy. She sleeps 24/7 and will barely eat. Again all this is normal until the hormones pass, but we miss our active, playful, ADHD Shelby! Someday she'll make the best mommy!
