Moving Day

The dreaded moving day, sigh. We were so grateful for all our amazing friends who spent days helping us, even up until the last few hours squeezing in a profitable garage sale! Thank you for all your help!

I can tell you that as we pulled out of the trailer court we both cried knowing we were moving on and we would never be at this point in our lives again. When we first bought our trailer I was almost embarrassed to admit we lived in a trailer. Now I know it was the best decision we could have made! We will miss all our friends and neighbors. Sunday evenings won't be the same and we'll miss throwing dinner together potluck style and playing games or watching movies into the morning hours. We'll also miss the crazy ward campouts and of course bbqing all summer long with everyone in the trailer court. We will always look back on the last few years with fond memories.

We did make it to Arizona though. Shelby and I followed Phillip since he drove the moving truck. There's something odd about knowing all your posessions fit into a truck and are being driven down a highway. We've done it before, but I guess knowing we downsized put it all into perspective.

Would it surprise you to know that Arizona is HOT?! We are both surviving. We are working for my dad for the next two months and luckily I am only part time as I only have 2 more classes then I get to graduate! So much for a summer, huh?!

Golden Spike

We decided to do a few last minute site seeing excursions before the big move...one of which was with our best friends the Andrus' (aka the Andrites) to Golden Spike! Since it was the 141st anniversary of the driving of the last spike, it was free and we got to see the (long) reenactment. We took Miriam's nephew which made it really fun and gave us an excuse to go on the mini train ride!

Ouch

Mother's Day was kinda lame this year because we spent part of it in the hospital with Shelby. She decided to try and jump this little fence on our deck and she split her nail. It sounds kind of silly but for dogs it's a big deal...like a $300 big deal! She had to be put under, have the nail removed, be put on antibiotics, pain killers, and is sporting an awesome sock for the next few weeks. Poor thing can't go running either. We love her though and we're glad she's okay.

Graduation

To celebrate graduation, Fred and Barb came up to Logan to take us to dinner! We went to the new Iron Gate Grill location which was fun! Dinner was super yummy and can you believe the boys split this HUGE piece of cake!
