Overwhelmed!!!

So I'm a little overwhelmed with the thoughts of moving because now I'll be doing it all alone. Phillip is taking his finals early and Paragon is flying him up on Wednesday to start work. Ugh! He won't be back until hours before he walks for graduation. Then we'll go to that, have a grad party, then leave the next morning. I'm trying to be very organized so that the men can help load the truck the night before, then I can clean the morning after and hopfully enjoy the graduation party! Ahhh! I'm so not making any sense right now but I just needed to get it all out. I guess I'll have to use my time wisely with Phillip. Like do the attic and storage this weekend before he goes. Maybe I'll hurry and do everything so that I can scrapbook with friends!!! Hmmm...now that's an idea (*smile*)! On a happy note I taught the Beehives how to make paper bag albums and they were so cute being all creative. I'm gonna be so sad when I don't hear "Sister Candy when are we gonna scrapbook with you" down the halls at church every Sunday. Next week I'm teaching the Mia Maids the same thing. Oh and my brother in law went into the MTC this afternoon. I am so happy for him! He'll be a great missionary! All right Deneigh...back to packing!!!

I Survived!!!

I can't even begin to describe the fun we had this year at the scrapbook convention! I loved my classes (except for my last one), and the shopping was great! I scored with a door prize and I ended up with these really cool microbeads. I can't wait to try them out.
I also got a bunch of random things, most of them were for a dollar (like I said they had awesome shopping this year). The highlight for me was walking away with about 3,000 sheets of Bazzill cardstock for $150! It was an amazing deal! I am so stoked to be all stocked up before our big move to Colorado.
Well, back to reality. I've got dishes and laundry stacked up from me being gone. Here are a few fun highlights!

Molly won an awesome prize in Margie's class (she was such a hoot)!

Me, Beth, and Molly in our Simple Cards class.

Me and Beth with Becky Higgins! (Love that girl)

My "other" grandmas!

Convention Here We Come!

Well I am off in the next few minutes for the scrapbooking convention! Of course I got NO sleep and am still going a hundred miles per hour! I finally put together all the "Convention Survival Kits" and this is how they
turned out.
Each girl has a notebook with their initial on it and the pen matches (I took it apart and put paper inside, then put the ink back). And of course scrapbooking isn't complete with out snacks and oh the water bottle even matches. Silly scrapbooker, I know!!! Anyways! I won't post for a few days cuz I'll be shoppin' and croppin'!!!

I Won!!!

So a few weeks ago I entered my first contest for Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Magazine. And guess what...I won! Well not the grand prize, but a prize. I was among the 5 who won a $100 gift certificate to Jo-anns! I couldn't believe it! The worst part is I had the hardest time using their product and I felt like it was just thrown together (I did it the day before the deadline). It is quite clean and simple, but apparently they loved it. So anyways! I think I can tell people because I read over the forms I signed and it didn't say anything about keeping it confidential. Here's the layout.

Childless Again

Well Madelynn's parents came and got her and we are childless again. Before she left I took these cute pictures of her though!

The house is so quiet now, haha! Well for family night we went to a store because Phillip found a black pub table that I actually liked. I wish it could seat 6 though. Hmmm. We also ran to Walmart so I could get stuff to put together "Convention Survival Kits" for this weekend! Yep, it's the scrapbook convention this weekend and I am so stoked! I've got so much to do! In fact I really should be packing! Yikes!

Our House

Well, we think we've found a house in Gypsum, Colorado. It was just finished being built. It is in the exact area we'd like to live in, Chatfield Corners, which is a young area. We're excited! It is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhome. It is two stories so maybe we'll get some exercise! Here are a few pictures. Hopefully it will work out.

Easter Brunch

We've been babysitting our best friends youngest daughter Madelynn for a few days while they took the older kids to Disneyland. It has been so fun playing "Mommy & Daddy"! Of course I had to make bows for each outfit! Here are a few pictures from our traditional family brunch the day before Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's. We had yummy food, did an Easter egg hunt, and found Easter baskets. It was fun for Phil and I to be the "Easter Bunny" this year! Oh and if you didn't notice, Madelynn started out with an outfit, but had a major blow out and ended up in just a diaper! Notice Kristin and Telicia's grape eggs!

We're Moving

The owners of Paragon flew in for the week and Phillip and I met with them tonight. We went to this VERY fancy restaurant and talked about the details. So, it's pretty much official...we're moving to Colorado! The offer is now more than we could hope for and the opportunity for Phillip is once in a lifetime. We are starting a new chapter in our lives and taking the plunge. Tentatively we will be moving the weekend of the 12th of May. Ahhh! That's like a month! I'm so depressed about there being no scrapbook stores in Vail...what will I do? I guess it'll be a good opportunity to use my mega stash, or just order online (*smile*). I'm glad we've made the decision because I am so sick of the stress. Maybe tonight I'll get a good nights rest!
