25 Random Things About Me

One:
I hate the sound of an alarm clock or a phone ringing. And speaking of alarm clocks, I set it, then check it, then make Phillip check it before I can get into bed! Am I crazy?! Most likely!

Two:
All I aspire to be is a domestic mother. The mom thing still hasn't happened, but I enjoy doing anything domestic!

Three:
I'm obsessed with scrapbooking and have been since I was 12 (that's 13 years folks) thanks to an awesome young woman leader. My husband will be the first to admit that he whole-heartedly supports my addiction, but gets upset at me quite often because I'm never doing any of it for us. Whenever anyone wants to see my scrapbooks I tell them no can do, unless you call so and so and look at what I did for them. I set a new years resolution to do a page a week for us...and now that it is June I still haven't gotten a single page done.
Four:
I HATE working because I am a total home body. I don't know what else to say about that except for Phillip is totally opposite!
Five:
I hate moving, but I love starting over in a new place. Logan, UT here we come!
Six:
I can't sit down to scrapbook or read unless my house is spotless. Hence the reason I never do any of that. Okay, I have a serious problem with this "clean house" topic! I am a fanatic when I clean. I'm a troothbrush scrubbin' kinda gal. I love having a clean home! But I hate having company come over because I never feel like my house is clean enough. But I can have dishes in the sink and laundry to do and I don't have a problem with sittin' on my butt and watching t.v. Go figure!

Seven:
I love to label and organize everything! I've done this since I was little! My guest bathroom is a joke to my family!

Eight:
My favorite day of the week is Saturday because I get to sleep in with my hubby and usually I get to clean (again I'm a freak)!
Nine:
If I could have a shopping spree to any store of my choice, hands down I'd pick Scrapbooks Etc in Mesa, AZ, but Target would be a close second!

Ten:
I watch way too much tv! My favorite shows include CSI, Ghost Whisperer, NUMB3RS, Close To Home, Bones, House, 24, and Jericho. A moment of silence for 7th Heaven (cheesy I know) and Gilmore Girls (sigh). Of course in the summer all I care about is So You Think You Can Dance. I get so much more accomplished in the summer!
Eleven:
I love to write. I like my handwriting and am constantly changing it!
Twelve:
I have a terrible addiction to Dr. Pepper and swear I'm quitting tomorrow (for the 10th time)! Bring on the caffeine headache!

Thirteen:
I hate massages! I'm a back tickle kinda gal and my husband is nice enough to always do so!

Fourteen:
I really don't like fruit, but give me ANY kind of vegetable and I'm all over it! Now, why am I fat?!

Fifteen:
I love to play the piano and sing, but if anyone asks me to do either one I say I can't.

Sixteen:
I am so organized that I have my meals made out a month in advance and I never cook the same thing twice (yes I know I still haven't finished the cookbooks)! I scrub my fridge every Saturday and make my husbands lunches for the next week (everything but the sandwiches).

Seventeen:
I'm white, but not by choice! I pray our kids have my husbands olive complexion. I can get fried and then go white again. So annoying!

Eighteen:
My favorite holiday is Christmas because we have a million traditions! To name a few: Christmas talent show (or is it talentless?!), opening a new pair of jammies, and opening presents one by one youngest to oldest (Christmas morning lasts for hours at our house).

Nineteen:
I like to keep in touch with people. One of the ways is birthday cards. Every January I hand make 120 girl birthday cards and 100 boy birthday cards {thanks to BH for the design this year}. I address each one and put a stamp on it. Then I organize them by month. We have a birthday calendar in our kitchen so I know whose birthdays are that week and I can mail them out on Monday. I still send cards to friends from elementary school. I can't let go I guess!

Twenty:
I hate clutter and knick knacks! Everything must have a place. Being married to Phillip has helped me let go a little (like his desk). He likes to display EVERYTHING! I'd rather trash it when he's not looking!

Twenty-one:
I like to be in charge! I'd rather do things my way because I know I'm going to do it right! This attitude spills over into my marriage because I prefer to do everything around the house for fear that Phillip will do it wrong (not my way). For instance. Yesterday I spent the day down in Glenwood Springs shopping at my beloved Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. When I pulled into the garage and started to grab the bags I heard the washer going. I dropped everything and ran inside. I freaked and ask what he was washing?! Side note, he's just finished drying a pot and has the towel over his shoulder. I cringed at myself for freaking out because you could tell he was just trying to be sincere and help. Back to my original thought...he had put a few whites in with darks (including my favorite shirt), put a heaping scoop of Tide in, then a heaping scoop of oxy clean, not to mention he filled the entire softner ball with Downy! Ahhhh! This is why I do everything!

Twenty-two:
Anyone that knows me can testify that I'm weird about smells! I am very sensitive. I could go on forever about this quirk, but I will say one simple thing. My clothes have to be washed in original Tide (and it can't be the liquid kind), the pink Downy, and I always use one bounce dryer sheet. Thank heavens Costco carries these in bulk!

Twenty-three:
I'm the driver in our family. I am a terrible back seat driver if Phillip is driving. Lets just face it, he scares the crap out of anyone. To eliminate fights and contention I just drive. Plus I'm sick of paying for his blasted tickets!

Twenty-four:
I'm a copy cat! I like to steal other peoples ideas. This goes for anything from scrapbooking to home decor.

Twenty-five:
I LOVE pajamas! The second I get home I peel off my clothes and jump into comfy jammies. I live in anything that is jersey knit (even our sheets are this material)! Does this mean I'm lazy?!

Okay, now I tag anyone that reads my blog! Does anyone read it?! Haha!

Our New Obsession!!!

Everyday after work we rush home so we can go on a bike ride! We love our new bikes! The weather has been amazing, but we've learned quickly that if we aren't back in before 9:00 pm, it gets really cold (even though it's still light out)! We're trying to enjoy our beautiful surroundings before we have to say goodbye in 6 weeks.

New Home Owners!!!

So this weekend we went to Logan and we were on a mission! We had to find a house! We looked at a few and after going to lunch and writing down our pros and cons, we decided to go with the first one we walked through. We are now official white trailer trash! We decided that living in the USU Trailer Court would be the best deal. We paid cash for the trailer, but will have a pad fee which includes phone, cable, and internet. So basically our rent is $265 a month! With both of us going to school full time, that's a deal...plus we own it! We're excited and everything will be final July 1! Things seem to be falling into place! Now, if I could just snap my fingers and our entire house would be packed! Haha, yeah right!

Snow in June?!

Yes my friends, as I type this I'm looking out my window watching the snow flurries...in June! Something is sick and wrong with this picture!

Trip to Arizona

So Friday morning we took the first flight out to Arizona along with Jaron, Jen, and little Jaron to surprise my mom for her birthday! Her "friend" Tim put it all together and insisted that he pay for everything. We totally suprised her! She had no clue! Then we spent the day at Golfland/Sunsplash! Oh my gosh was it fun! Ummm...now I know why we moved from that blasted hot state though! My aunt Pam and her daughters Kristin, Amber, and Kim (aka Shmim) met up with us! Of course, I spent more time hanging out chatting and holding my absolutely adorable nephew than I did in the water. Little Jaron is at the sweetest stage right now, and he just loves his Aunty Nay! He is cooing and smiling constantly! Now at this point I'd normally add a few pictures of this awesome day...but brilliant Deneigh forgot her new camera! What?! Yes, it was a sad 30 minutes when I realized I forgot it. Moving on! Saturday rocked because my mom took me to get a pedicure! Thanks mom! Then we went to Gecko Grill for lunch with everyone, including some of Jaron's friends from high school! We all kinda went our seperate ways and of course I hit the scrapbook stores, a fabric store, and Seagull Book & Tape! Then we all met back at my grandmas house for a surprise 70's party for my mom! It was cool! We had delicious fondu and my aunt Pam had some totally rad trivia! Of course we went to bed way too late and had to get up much too early! Off to the airport we went. We got home from Denver around 9:00 pm. It was a quick fun weekend! Now it's back to the real world!
