Hospital Stay

So on Monday night I got 2 loads of the dreaded vacation laundry done. Then on Tuesday I wasn't feeling very well. I felt sick to my stomach and was having really bad lower right abdominal pains. Around 7:30 I decided we should go to the emergency room. Mind you, the nearest one is 40 minutes away. So it was off to Vail. They were wonderful and saw me immediately. They took blood and ran a few tests. They thought it was my appendix because my white blood cell count was 16,000. The only problem was they couldn't get a cat scan to see for sure because theirs was broken. They did an i.v. (in the worst place ever) and gave me some great medicine to last me the 30 minutes drive to Frisco because their hospital was better equiped. They were also wonderful and ruled out my appendix deciding that it was a large ruptured cyst. They kept me until Thursday afternoon because the trauma surgeon was keeping an eye on the fluid in my pelvis and waiting for my white blood cell count to go down. Also they were trying to get a hold of my nausea. So needless to say, I was stoked to get home because I wanted to sleep in my own bed. But not before Phillip's brother Sterling, his wife Sheila, and their son Jacob came to say hi as they were on their way home to Nevada.
