Phillip's boss called last night and asked us if we wanted to go to the Suns game. We said sure... especially when it was on his dime! Phillip's dad came along too (he also works for the same company). Even though the Suns lost (sigh) it was a great game and the entertainment was awesome!

Go 49ers!!!
Remember those tickets I bought my husband for his birthday?! Well the long awaited day finally arrived! We had so much fun and the game was so intense that it made the win worth the adrenaline rush! The Cardinal fans weren't too happy, but we sure were!

Black Friday Shopping & The Wedding
So I totally know that today is a very important day for my mom, but hello, it's Black Friday! My awesome husband is always game to pull an all nighter and fight the crowds with me. Literally we got an hour and a half of sleep, and were up and in line by 5:00 am! We got everything we wanted at Target (yeah) and then we rushed over to JoAnns. All the really cute fabric was taken (by a lady who got 277 yards of flannel), but I still snuck in a few cute things! The ladies were jealous because my husband would grab things as they were putting them down on the counter and he'd scout out who was getting what cut when if I liked the print. He did this with me last year and was such a sport for standing in line. Gotta love him! He even surprised me and got me a new tote for my sewing machine! We hit a few other places and made it just in time to help start putting up the decor for the wedding! No naps for us though. We rushed home and I quickly threw together a sign in book for the reception. We made it to the wedding with only minutes to spare, but we were there nonetheless! Everything turned out beautiful! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Cronin!

Thanksgiving
We had a nice, but stressful Thanksgiving. There were last minute wedding preparations, but we had it all under control as the boys all enjoyed a little football game at Candlelight Park. We went to my grandparents house where the first of the wedding guests had arrived! Dinner was yummy of course and I am so grateful that we were able to spend Thanksgiving with my family.

Projects, Projects, & More Projects
We've got projects galore going on at our house! I've been madly trying to finish baby gifts and Christmas presents as the holidays are quickly approaching and people are coming into town. Here are a few sneak peaks!
This is for my brothers family (they don't read our blog so I can post this):

Here are a few baby bows and socks I did for my cousin:

I also made my first ribbon rag for my cousin Kristin, along with my traditional boppy and blanket:

(picture of boppy and blanket will be posted later)

Hot Date!!! {Details}
Okay ladies, don't hate me, but I had this REALLY HOT DATE tonight! Literally! He was a hunk of burnin' love! Yes my man was a toasty 102.4! My hot date included serving a steaming hot dinner of soup and juice, juice, and more juice! As I placed ice on his head with a cool cloth to quench his burning love for me, he never let go of the remote! I love my thoughtful and romantic husband! He plans the best dates! =)

Sick & Tired
Our Halloween was loads of fun (said sarcastically) because Phillip had a really high temperature! We ended up having our traditional soup in pumpkin bread bowls, but calling it a night after going and seeing Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D. After giving him medicine to knock him out, I finished these bad boys in the wee hours of the night (thank you Kristin, who is on strict bedrest until she has baby boy Rogers, for helping do the bows and stuff the invites)!

Date Night
This weekend Phillip and I were CONSUMED by school! We had 3 tests, and 4 assignments. I had a research paper, and Phillip still has a stats test to take. Being the creative folk that we are, we had a candlelight dinner for date night while we studied and quizzed each other! These are the things we will remember 5 years from now!

What Kind of Monster Are You?!
Deneigh:
Phillip:
The freaky part is, these are so true!!!
| You Are a Witch (or Warlock) |
![]() You are deviously brilliant and a perfect manipulator. You somehow always end up getting what you want - without anyone knowing you're working behind the scenes. Crafty and cunning, you can work your way out of any jam. And it's easy for you to get people to do what you want, whether you're working for good or evil. Your greatest power: Mind control Your greatest weakness: Making people your puppets You play well with: Ghosts |
Phillip:
| You Are a Werewolf |
![]() You're unpredictable, moody, and downright freaky. You seem sweet and harmless, until you snap. Then you're a total monster. Very few people can predict if you're going to be Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde. But for you, all your transformations seem perfectly natural. Your greatest power: Your ability to tap into nature Your greatest weakness: Lack of self control You play well with: Vampires |

Scrapbook Night
So we had a quick, thrown together scrapbook night out at my friends Sarah's house on Friday (out in like Florence). Beth and I didn't even get there until 10:00pm! We were nuts! But as we were arriving Twylla (who lives 2 doors down from Sarah) was leaving and she was sporting this awesome outfit! Now in her defense, they had found 2 baby rattlesnakes in the street so to be extra cautious, she wore these sexy boots and had a flashlight in hand. Love that girl! She always makes me laugh! It was a productive night even though we didn't get home until like 3:00am! I designed my Christmas cards and birthday cards for next year! So stoked about that! Beth did a page that turned out awesome, and Sarah put together a couple cards for her Super Saturday Enrichment class. Yeah for late nighters!

Who's In Bed With Me?!
Oh my gosh, I was so lazy today! I stayed up late studying and finally crashed in the wee hours of the morning. So naturally I decided I had to get out of bed at some point today. I quickly showered, got ready for the day and began my continued studies. My mom came home for lunch and since I "forgot" (or was just lazy) to make my bed this morning, she took a quick nap in my bed instead of hers because she had a killer headache. When she went back to work I decided to pick up my room and make a few laundry piles to take care of tonight. What do I find in my bed as I'm making it?!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! See previous post from September 20. This has got to be a joke. The first thing I saw next to me were these stinkin' cute clear paint cans I got at the scrapbook convention. I popped the lid off of one and went to catch the sucker and I almost got stung! I did get him, took a picture, and am still shaking. I'm saving the evidence so Phillip can be proud of me (I despise bugs)! As I said before, I have never seen a scorpion in all the years I've lived here and I've seen a bunch in this one visit! Maybe I really am destined to get stung. I told my mom there's no way I'm going back in there until the whole room is sprayed, and even then we'll have to see. EWWW!

Birthday
Here are a few pictures from the mission book that I threw together for some friends back in Colorado. Their son is leaving for the MTC on Wednesday, and they wanted to send him with a little rememberance book.

After a crappy b-day, my sweet mom brought home pizza for dinner. I hurried and finished a paper for English to meet a deadline, then we had brownies. Phillip and I ended the evening by watching NUMB3RS that we had recorded on my moms dvr from Friday night. And for those of you in AZ, we will be here for another week or so, Phillip has picked up a few side jobs! Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Rachael, my favorite birthday buddy (don't forget I'm a few hours older)!

ScrapFest 2007
First and foremost I have to say thank you to Becky for helping me put together this fun surprise for my friends! For opening up her beautiful home, and helping us feel so welcome. The girls and I had so much fun and appreciate the fun memories we made!
Now for all of you who don't know what I'm talking about, let me explain! After annoying my husband trying to figure out what to do for ScrapFest 2007, he finally said just invite that famous scrapbooker you met at the airport to make an appearance at your party. I laughed, but after a little thought, decided maybe he had a good idea! So after writing and re-writing an email that I hoped she'd even read...then waiting 2 days to just press send (it felt awkward), Becky Higgins replied. After a few emails back and forth, she graciously invited the girls and I over to scrapbook. Can I just tell you, keeping that secret from my girlfriends was really hard! They all suspected, but weren't quite sure. We all met at Gecko Grill for a yummy dinner and I swear everyone was so nervous. Did anyone actually eat their dinner?!

As the plates were being cleared, I presented each girl with a gift bag.

In the bag was Becky's new Sketches book (if you don't have it, GET IT), and a little rhyme that said:
"We're going to Peoria, for book signing and more. Becky Higgins wants to scrap with us, need I say more?!"

After being a little too loud, we quickly paid and got the suburban all packed up (thanks Pam for letting me borrow it). We made the long trip (no joke it's totally on the other side of the valley...in the middle of nowhere) to Becky's.
After a few funny mishaps as we pulled up, Becky greeted us at the door, and introduced us to a few of her friends.

We all got right to work busting out some adorable pages! Becky shared a few ideas with us and the organizer in me was just screaming to pick her brain about a few things! The time went all too quickly, but every minute was worth it! Here are a bunch of pictures!

As we were packing up, Becky so generously gave each of us a rub on saying for our walls, and she let us take from her freebie boxes! Thank you, thank you Becky, the entire night was AMAZING!
